Presenting Twice in May 2026
I will be presenting my latest session, Documenting Your Work for Worry-Free Vacations, in-person twice in May 2026. With summer vacations coming up, this is a perfect time of year to create or refresh your environment’s documentation so that you can leave the work computer at home, switch that phone off and relax.
First up is Day of Data Jacksonville on May 2nd. I’ve been hearing for a few years that Jacksonville puts on a terrific event and I’m looking forward to getting to finally experience it for myself. This will be a dual-purpose trip. Most of the folks I work with at the job I started in May 2025 are based in Jacksonville and I’ve not yet met them in person, so I’ll be able to spend a day in the office before the event.
Concurrent with Day of Data, the event organizers are hosting a Kids’ Camp with STEM activities for kids ages 11-14. This looks like a lot of fun for the kids with some great hands-on activities and learning opportunities.
About two weeks later on Monday, May 18th I’ll be visiting the Capital Area SQL Server User Group in Albany, NY. This is my second time at this user group and I expect that like last time I was there, the conversation will take a number of turns and go into overtime - which is not a bad thing at all!
If you’re in Albany or Jacksonville, please join us!
